Meet Local Eleanor Pearson, local Children’s Author of “Books are not just for Bedtime” & learn about Gateway Health’s HIPPY program, supporting young children & their families prepare for school. 

CBCA Book Week might be over, but you can keep the magic of reading alive, with our very special Children’s event on Thursday, September 5th at Dymocks Albury.

HOURLY BOOK READINGS & MEET & GREET, WITH LOCAL CHILDREN’S AUTHOR, ELEANOR PEARSON 

• Keep the kids entertained with hourly book readings by Local Children’s Author, Eleanor Pearson

Eleanor’s illustrated story book, “Books are not just for bedtime” has been published as far as the UK. Her book encourages a love of reading to young children & plants the seed to help reading become a life-long habit, begging the question “where will you read THIS book?” 

MEET & GREET PLUS Q & A WITH LOCAL HIPPY ALBURY-WODONGA TUTORS

• The HIPPY Tutors will be available to answer any of your questions, such as:
  • How does the program work?
  • What are some success stories?
  • What’s involved in participating with the program & what supports are provided?
  • What’s included in enrolment?
  • How long does the program last?
  • How do I become a Tutor?
  • Why is the program important?

The HIPPY program in Albury-Wodonga is run by Gateway Health, a charitable, not-for-profit community health organisation providing affordable healthcare, support services, community programs, and outreach initiatives across North East Victoria and parts of southern NSW.
